ReVolt charges up Hollywood’s clean energy ambitions with 48V and high density power modules. Portable renewable power offers cleaner, quieter power on sets
Toyota created a state-of-the-art humanoid robotic basketball player that can shoot and score baskets with incredible accuracy. Leveraging artificial intelligence and myriad of sensors and technology, the power system design required careful consideration. Vicor supplied “CUE3,” Toyota’s sophisticated, humanoid robot, with a DC-DC (DCM™ family) converter module.
CUE3 required a power-dense solution that was highly-efficient to support advanced processing and drive systems power.
The Vicor DCM family, which can deliver a peak efficiency of 93%, is an isolated, regulated DC-DC converter with a very accommodating, small footprint. The DCM is an ideal module for robotics and other applications that require high power delivery and have very tight space constraints. The smallest DCM is 22 x 23 x 7mm.
