Vicor will present at EEHE 2025 explaining how to reduce power conversion losses and truncate a power system using high-density power modules and Sine Amplitude Converter™ topology.

Andover, MA, April 30, 2025 — Vicor, the leader in high-performance power modules, today announced its participation at Electronic & Electrical Systems in hybrid & electric vehicles (EEHE) 2025 in Bamberg, Germany May 14 – 15.

Vicor will present “Voltage conversion with Sine Amplitude Converter: performance, benefits and applications,” explaining how to reduce power conversion losses, power system size and weight using high-density fixed-ratio converter power modules. The presentation will be delivered by Haris Muhedinovic, Automotive Principal Field Application Engineer, who will also host a poster session on the same topic. Haris will expound on the benefits of using symmetrical bidirectional power conversion, which maximizes regenerative power for applications such as active suspension.

The presentation will be held on May 14 at 4:20 PM and will focus on the challenges of converting high voltage (400 – 800V) to SELV (48 – 12V) and the benefits of using a high-frequency switching converter with a soft-switching topology.

“As the entire industry is increasing electrification in automobiles and moving to higher voltages, it is important to reduce conversion losses,” says Muhedinovic. “Vicor high-density power modules utilizing our proprietary Sine Amplitude Converter™ topology minimizes losses and reduces the overall size of the power delivery network.”

Vicor will showcase their newest automotive-qualified products at the conference as well as power systems that include the BCM6135, a high-voltage to 48V bidirectional fixed-ratio DC-DC converter.

The EEHE event examines a range of topics including architectures and components for electrification, onboard energy networks, electric charging infrastructure, electrical energy management, low-voltage storage, battery management and power electronics. Vicor high-density power modules address a variety of automotive electrification challenges including EV fast charging, high-voltage battery conversion and bridging 48V – 12V systems.
